Beth's intelligence, vast experience, diligence and style make for an unparalleled winning combination. Beth took lead from the beginning in a complicated divorce from both a financial and emotional standpoint. Beth was able to bring facts and potential future scenarios to light using a calm, collaborative approach in an environment where both my husband and his lawyer continued to create noise. Beth led the research, discussion and follow-up with all parties including the court and financial institutions. Beth did all this while focused on an equitable settlement for both parties and while developing a strong, caring relationship with me. I could not imagine using any other counsel.

At a time in my life where I was overwhelmed and backed into a corner Beth was truly an angel to step in and help me navigate such a trying experience. At every turn I felt like I had Mohamed Ali in my corner. She truly lifted a huge weight from my shoulders and I will continue to be grateful. Thank you Beth

If you find yourself facing a divorce, needing to lay every bit of your personal and financial information on the table for a complete stranger, you are going to want Beth Silverman at that table with you. Beth was a gift during a very difficult divorce. She is incredibly knowledgeable and extremely organized. She is absolutely professional and, most importantly, she is kind and personable. She combines those qualities so beautifully. I absolutely felt Beth cared about me and the outcome of my agreement. She was reasonable and rational while encouraging me to be the same. Her calm confidence was contagious and I always felt better after being with her and stronger just having her in my corner. She can be trusted to put in every effort to ensure each step of the process is completed, following up with details even after the final court date. I am forever grateful for the work Beth did on my behalf and, most especially, the humanity she brought to the table with her. She’s an excellent attorney but an even better human being and I feel fortunate to know her.

This attorney patiently listens and asks questions about the whole story both because she wants to operate from a full understanding of the situation as well as because she cares about what people are going through. Combine this with ethical consideration about what is fair to all parties and you can feel sure that all avenues have been explored. As a middle aged professional myself, I have worked with a lot of professionals who can't even rate one star. This attorney is truly exceptional. She will walk through whatever it takes with you.

She listened to me and empathized with my position while also being direct and truthful about my options. She is a master of her craft and I would recommend her to anyone going through the rough process that is divorce.

I have been practicing family law exclusively since graduating from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1984. When I became a lawyer, In order to best serve my clients, I decided to confine my law practice to exclusively family law matters. It has never appealed to me to know a little bit about a lot of legal areas, although there are many legal areas that interact with family law. I have only wanted to be an expert in family law matters. I have been practicing family law in this community for forty years which has allowed me the opportunity to establish relationships with many of the family law attorneys in this area and establish trust and respect in those relationships. With trust and respect, many cases become easier to resolve.
After many years of engaging in litigation, I am now focusing my practice on working with clients who are committed to staying out of court. Having been a litigator for decades, I rarely saw people who were satisfied with the process or the result. I have seen too many families that would find it hard to recover from a court battle. When a couple agrees to stay out of court, they are the decision makers. There is predictability and control. The children are not required to be interviewed by court personnel, or be asked about their preferences. Clients are able to determine their priorities and work toward a resolution in which their goals will be met. This is where my reputation has been built.
I am a collaboratively-trained attorney, and was a founding member of our Cincinnati collaborative group in the 1990’s. Our Cincinnati Academy of Collaborative Professionals has grown to be one of the most active and respected groups in the country. People considering collaboration are interested in working with lawyers that are collaborators rather than adversaries. These clients are searching for a respectful process, and one which recognizes the importance of maintaining family relationships.
I strive to be conscientious in all areas, including ethically and in my work product. You can expect me to personally return a phone call on the same day or within 24 hours. I make it a point to keep a client informed of all developments in their case. My hope is that my clients always feel supported and confident in the representation they are receiving, and that I am addressing their concerns. I want my clients to feel knowledgeable and empowered to make sound decisions after receiving legal advice and guidance.
As a member of the Grievance Committee of the Cincinnati Bar Association for approximately 20 years, I am keenly aware of the ethical and professional standards required of an attorney. Treating my clients, opposing counsel and the court with respect and dignity is the highest of my priorities.
